Spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds added $226.8 million on July 20, extending a sustained institutional buying spree that has now pulled more than $900 million over six consecutive sessions. The latest data shows capital accelerating back into regulated crypto vehicles after a period of relative calm, with BlackRock's IBIT, Fidelity's FBTC, and ARK Invest's ARKB leading the charge.

The five-day period preceding July 20 alone accounted for $723 million in net inflows, indicating that institutional allocators are treating the current price environment as an attractive entry point. The streak marks the longest sustained run of positive flows in recent months and signals renewed confidence among asset managers and pension funds that had previously paused on the sidelines.

BlackRock's IBIT continues to dominate volume among the spot Bitcoin ETFs, capturing the largest share of the $226.8 million July 20 figure. Fidelity's FBTC and ARK's ARKB also recorded notable contributions, together accounting for the bulk of the day's inflows. The three funds have emerged as the primary vehicles for institutional Bitcoin exposure since the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approved spot ETF products earlier in the cycle.

The return of institutional capital through regulated ETF channels suggests a maturation of Bitcoin as an asset class within traditional portfolio frameworks. Unlike the retail-driven inflows seen during previous bull cycles, the current wave is characterized by larger block sizes and fewer, more deliberate transactions , hallmarks of institutional behavior. Market observers interpret the trend as a vote of confidence in Bitcoin's long-term store-of-value thesis rather than speculative short-term positioning.

With the six-day streak pushing total flows past $900 million, analysts are watching for follow-through in the coming sessions. Sustained institutional accumulation at this pace would represent one of the strongest demand signals from traditional finance since spot ETFs launched.
