Kansas-based wealth management firm Leisure Capital Management has disclosed a $206,000 position in Franklin Templeton's newly launched XRP exchange-traded fund, marking one of the first documented institutional allocations to the product since its debut.
The filing, submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission this week, shows the Overland Park advisory firm purchased shares of the Franklin Templeton Digital Assets Trust , XRP Fund during the most recent reporting period. Leisure Capital, which manages approximately $180 million in client assets, specializes in retirement planning and tax-efficient investment strategies for high-net-worth individuals across the Midwest.
Franklin Templeton's XRP ETF began trading on the Cboe BZX Exchange in late January, joining a growing lineup of crypto-linked exchange-traded products from traditional asset managers. The fund holds XRP directly rather than using futures contracts or synthetic structures, a distinction that has drawn attention from compliance-focused advisors seeking spot exposure without custody complexities.
Leisure Capital's allocation represents roughly 0.11% of its total assets under management, a modest but notable position for a firm that has historically emphasized traditional equity and fixed-income strategies. The move suggests growing comfort among registered investment advisors with digital asset ETFs as regulatory clarity improves.
Industry observers note that Franklin Templeton's entry into the XRP ETF space carries particular weight given the firm's $1.6 trillion in global assets and its methodical approach to digital asset products. The company previously launched a spot Bitcoin ETF and a blockchain-focused equity fund, establishing a track record that may reassure conservative allocators.
