Texas grid operator ERCOT has published Batch Zero, a first public ranking of who wants big power loads. Bitcoin.com reports it as a new scoreboard for the AI power arms race. CryptoPotato has Bitcoin near $77K into the weekend.
The same outlet reports a top-100 altcoin rose 325% in a day, so dull Bitcoin and one hot altcoin share the same tape.
Batch Zero turns power requests into public rank
A large load request is simple. A data center or mine asks ERCOT for grid space, and ERCOT studies wires, timing, and backup. Batch Zero lists those requests in order, so everyone sees who is waiting and how much they want.
That's new because power used to be private talk. Now miners, AI builders, and locals can point at one list. And when loads compete, price and priority stop being rumors.
The network kept one block and dropped the other
Bitcoin.com reports miners found 2 valid blocks at nearly the same time. Both were valid, but the chain can keep only one at each height. So one stayed, and one was left behind.
Think of it as two finished puzzles arriving at once. Nodes pick the first chain they extend, and the other block becomes orphaned. No coins are lost by users, but the losing miner doesn't get paid.
That trust point matters beyond mining. AMBCrypto reports a fake government request exposed Revolut customer data and Bitcoin histories. It wasn't a chain break.
It was someone fooling people with paper, then walking out with files.
$50.6M of bank buying meets an $82K ceiling
AMBCrypto puts Morgan Stanley's BTC buying at $50.6M and says it helped shield the market. A bank buyer like that doesn't shout. It bids, it absorbs sales, and it slows the slide.
But the same outlet names $82K as the hurdle for a rally. That's the line where sellers likely wait. Bitcoin can hold, yet it doesn't climb until that supply is eaten.
Elsewhere, risk still finds a home. Bitcoin.com cites an analyst who sees SKY rising 5x and beating Bitcoin on a Federal Bank model. The model name is the analyst's own frame, and the figure is a forecast, not a promise.
September flows pit Bitcoin against Ether
An ETF flow is plumbing. When investors buy shares, funds buy spot coin. When they sell, funds sell coin.
AMBCrypto frames September as a flow battle between Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs. It's close watching because flows show taste. Do buyers want Bitcoin's hardness, or do they want Ether's yield and rails?
BeInCrypto adds the outside risk, with a US home-seller surplus as buyers vanish. If houses sit, stocks feel it first, and crypto often follows. Watch $77K and $82K into the close.
CryptoPotato has the low end near $77K, and AMBCrypto names $82K as the break. September ETF totals will say which coin investors picked.
