Sellers are driving Bitcoin, Binance Coin, Hyperliquid and Cardano lower on October 16, with all four coins testing make-or-break support lines. U.Today's Arman Shirinyan says buyers have not yet shown their hand, so the short term belongs to sellers.
Bitcoin Holds the $80,000 Line for Now
Bitcoin trades near $80,100, down about 1.8% on the day, according to U.Today. The daily low touched exactly $80,000 before buyers stepped in, but the bounce has been weak. The coin rests on its 50-day moving average, a blue line near $80,300 that has held the trend since August.
Shorter averages near $81,200 and $82,400 now act as resistance. A moving average smooths closing prices over a set number of days, so below it the line acts as a ceiling. For bulls, the task is to hold $80,000 and climb back above $82,400.
Clearing $84,000 could then reopen the way toward the late-September high near $87,500. For bears, a break below $80,000 on rising volume could pull Bitcoin toward $77,000 within days.
BNB Rests on a $700 Floor
BNB trades near $717, down about 1.2% on the day, U.Today reports. The coin reached a low of $708.89 earlier before buyers pushed it back up a little, leaving it near a key test. The 100-day moving average, an orange line, sits at about $700, and BNB is only 2.5% above it.
Just below, the 200-day average near $686 offers a second layer of support. Both lines have been rising, which helped hold the trend together. A daily close below $700 would break the 100-day line and could send BNB toward $686.
A move back above $735, where the main averages are bunched, would show dip buyers are still active. A push over $750 would put BNB back in a healthy uptrend toward $810.
HYPE Defends a Narrow Band Near $77
Hyperliquid trades near $77.80, down about 4% on the day, per U.Today. The daily candle opened at $80.85 and fell to a low of $77.56, part of a larger pullback from the late-September high near $98. The key level is $77, where the 100-day moving average sits, and HYPE is only about 1% above it.
A mid-September dip near $75 also held, so buyers have a clear area to defend between $75 and $77. If $75 breaks on a daily close, the next real support is the 200-day line near $64.50. That drop of about 17% from here would put the entire August rally at risk.
Volume is shrinking during the drop, so sellers are not rushing out, but it is also low on bounces, so buyers are not rushing in. For a recovery, HYPE should first get back above $83, then clear $86 and $90. A new high above $98 looks far away.
ADA Sits on Its Last Support Before $0.200
Cardano trades near $0.219, down about 5% on the day, U.Today says. The candle opened at $0.2303 and touched a low of $0.2159 before buyers stepped in. The price has fallen through the 50-day line at $0.230 and onto the 100-day line near $0.220.
This is the last support before the lower area. ADA also failed several times to close above the 200-day average near $0.241. If the 100-day line breaks on a daily close, the next target is $0.200.
Below that, $0.190 is the next floor. For bulls, the mission is to reclaim $0.230, and a real change needs a close above $0.241. The next few daily closes should set the direction.
Watch the daily close at $80,000 for Bitcoin, $700 for BNB, $75 for HYPE and $0.220 for ADA.
