Bitcoin, Ethereum and other major cryptocurrencies are consolidating after October's sharp pullbacks, with each facing key support tests that will shape the next directional move.
Bitcoin leads the pause at $77,871, testing critical support around $76,000. The price broke above its major moving averages in August, rallying from roughly $63,000 to $87,000. October brought a string of lower highs as demand weakened.
The rising 200-day moving average sits in the $76,000, $77,000 area, providing stacked support. Daily RSI has dropped to about 40, creating bearish momentum but nearing levels where short relief rallies can start. Immediate resistance is around $78,500, $79,000, then $80,500, $82,000.
A sustained breakout above $82,000 would strengthen the case for a recovery and could bring $84,000, $86,000 into reach.
Chainlink trades at $11.61 after declining from its late-September peak near $15.75. The August bullish reversal broke above major moving averages and ran from roughly $8.00 to $15.75. The subsequent decline carved out lower highs and lower lows, with short-term momentum deteriorating.
Daily RSI sits around 40, 45 on the weak side of neutral. The first support is $11.40, $11.50. Below that sits $11.00, a psychological level.
If that gives way for good, the $10.40, $10.60 region comes into view; buyers showed up there recently. Resistance starts near $12.00, $12.20, with the $12.50, $12.70 supply zone above it as the stronger barrier. Winning those back could make a recovery toward $13.30 more likely.
Near Protocol holds steady at $4.40 after a big rally off its August range of $1.60, $1.80. The September breakout tore through several resistance levels and topped out around $6.00 in early October on much heavier volume than usual.
Since that peak, it's been correcting with lower highs and one test after another of the $4.20, $4.40 support region. The intermediate and long-term averages are still rising and sit well below the price, so the broader bullish structure doesn't look broken yet.
First support is $4.20, $4.30, the area that kept getting tested during the recent consolidation. Under that, $4.00 is both a psychological and a technical support level. A decisive break there could expose $3.60, $3.70, roughly where the rising longer-period moving average sits.
Binance Coin stabilizes near $714 after a sizable pullback from its October highs around $800, $810. BNB broke out hard in late August and climbed from about $600 to $800. October was a different story, with a run of lower highs as buying pressure faded.
The latest decline knocked BNB under its short-term moving averages at $730, $750, which tilts the near-term picture bearish. Recently BNB tested $690, $700, where support lines up with the rising 200-day moving average, and bounced back to $714. Buyers look like they're defending that zone.
Resistance comes first at $730, $740 and then at $750, $760. A sustained recovery above $760 would improve the outlook and could open the way toward $780, $800. The daily RSI is around 40, 45.
The pause affects all four cryptocurrencies after October's sharp corrections. Each faces key support tests that will determine whether the broader recovery remains intact or if selling pressure accelerates.
