Strive added 124 Bitcoin for about $10 million last week, boosting its treasury to 43,124 BTC and tightening the race for the second-largest public bitcoin holder spot.
The October 24-30 purchase puts Strive just 390 BTC behind Twenty One Capital, while CEO Matt Cole's team needs to acquire fewer than 100 BTC weekly for the rest of 2026 to pass Metaplanet's roughly 44,000 BTC.
The latest acquisition came at an average price of $80,526 per Bitcoin, funded primarily with existing cash while marking the first use of Strive's new SATS preferred stock at-the-market program. The company launched October 26, allowing it to sell up to $1 billion of dividend-paying SATS shares to finance additional bitcoin purchases and corporate expenses.
Strive ended October with $490.4 million in cash, down $14 million from the prior week, as the firm continues to build what it hopes will become the second-strongest public treasury after Strategy's 849,327 BTC.
Twenty One Capital maintains a narrow 390 BTC lead over Strive, with Metaplanet holding about 44,000 BTC and MARA at 35,577 BTC. Strategy dominates the rankings with nearly 850,000 BTC.
While October saw Strive acquire roughly $1.25 billion worth of bitcoin, including a single 6,182 BTC purchase for $511 million, the latest 124 BTC represents a more measured pace as the firm approaches its year-end target.
The SATS program raised about $630 million in mid-October and generated all weekly ATM proceeds for the recent purchase. Strive holds 505,000 shares of Strategy's STRC stock, valued at $50.1 million. As the firm methods its weekly acquisitions, the path to overtaking Metaplanet remains achievable, though remaining behind Twenty One still keeps Strive in third place among public treasury companies.
